Alicia Grunert focuses on ethically created high fashion in an attempt to redefine the meaning of fashion. Grunert’s design philosophy is characterized by the return to innocence. Her clothing is meant to encourage and enrich the lives of artisans by incorporating natural materials into an Art Nouveau aesthetic. After participating in "Movers and Shapers" 2004, Grunert moved to New York City where she worked for renowned designers Yigal Azrouel, Lela Rose and Marc Jacobs. She returned to Vancouver in September 2007 after spending the previous year in Victoria completing her Bachelor of Commerce Degree at Royal Roads University. |
