Mono is a series of modern clothing & accessories, which explore the spaces between art, craft & fashion. With each series, mono dares to follow an original concept & see it through to completion. Quality, process & innovation are essential components to each piece & won’t be sacrificed to the expectation of pumping out pointless collection after collection. The consumer market is packed full of disposable goods which sacrifice design & quality for mass production. Mono is not confined to the typical scheme & offers a number of series throughout the seasons. Heather Martin is deeply rooted in the local fashion community. She designs & manufactures the mono line, works freelance with select local design companies & teaches Fashion & Textiles at Vancouver Community College.
