The creative force behind the design company "this is it" originates from the talents and expertise of Robert Studer and Beth Hawthorn. In 1996, the two pooled their energies and embarked on a journey which would have them creating works of design and art which would be exhibited and sold across the globe. In 2003 Hawthorn and Studer joined forces with other local designers and established the BARK Design Collective, a non-profit organization who's mandate is to uplift the profile of contemporary Canadian design. In their first year BARK organized and exhibited the works of over 35 Canadian Designers in Tokyo Japan, London England and here at home in Vancouver. www.thisisit.ca
