Born in Hamburg, raised in Germany and Switzerland, Nicolas Meyer apprenticed and studied fine furniture making and design. His family actively supported and influenced his creative strive with their background in antiques, and real estate development. After his immigration to Vancouver in early 1995 he worked for Spearhead Timberworks and Kurt Sander before leaping into his own venture, Nico Spacecraft. His wife, Jess Meyer, was born in Taiwan. She grew up living in Singapore and in Tehran, Iran before immigrating to Vancouver in 1983. Her schooling involves finance, business and fashion design.
