BattersbyHowat Inc. was founded in 1996 as a partnership between David Battersby and Heather Howat. The multidisciplinary practice works from combined degrees in architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design. Contrasting scales of privately commissioned work include single and multi-family residences, small commercial buildings, private galleries, gardens, interiors, and custom furniture. As an emerging practice, we pursue an architectural expression that embodies a spirit of contemporary living that is modest and without pretense.
