VISION
After recognizing a lack of public awareness of design in Vancouver, especially that of the young and talented, Cause+Affect began an initiative we named Movers and Shapers in 2004. The events series was created to not only draw attention to the younger generation of designers in our city, but to create physical experiences for the celebration of design innovation.
SOLUTION
Movers and Shapers has become a highly regarded exhibition series highlighting top emerging designers currently shaping the future of architecture, interior, graphic, product, furniture, fashion, and interactive design. Each reincarnation of the initiative features a new identity, new exhibition design, and a new collection of designers.
RESULT
After previous exhibitions in 2004 and 2007, Cause+Affect developed the flagship exhibition surrounding the rebranding of The Museum of Vancouver in 2008. As part of the contract we designed and curated the exhibition and designed all communication materials. Movers and Shapers drew the single largest opening night audience of any exhibition in the history of The Vancouver Museum.
